Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy explains how a FowlTree subscription ends and when we refund a payment. It applies to everyone who pays for FowlTree: companies, and self-managed farm owners. Farm owners and caretakers who work with an integrator company, and other people a company invites, do not pay FowlTree anything. Self-managed farms follow the same cancellation and refund rules as companies.

1. Free trial

A new company, or a new self-managed farm owner, starts on a free trial with the first batch free: batches started early in the trial, up to a set number, are free until they are harvested and settled. The trial ends once the last free batch is finished, within a set minimum and maximum length. Nothing is charged during the trial, so there is nothing to refund or cancel. To keep using FowlTree after the trial, pay the invoice we send before the trial ends.

2. Subscriptions and renewal

  • You pay for a plan monthly or yearly, in advance, through the secure payment link on your invoice.
  • Before your paid period ends we send a renewal invoice. It is due on the day your current period ends, and the payment link stays open for a short grace period after that.
  • Nothing renews without a payment from you. We do not charge your card or bank account automatically.

3. Cancelling

To cancel, simply do not pay the next renewal invoice. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for; after that your subscription expires. There is no cancellation fee.

Cancelling part-way through a period does not refund the rest of that period. If you want your account and its data deleted, see Delete your account and our Privacy Policy. Deleting an account does not make a payment refundable.

4. When we refund

Subscription payments are non-refundable once the period has started, except in these cases:

  • A farm or shed removed from a yearly plan. Companies pay per farm and self-managed farms per shed. If, part-way through a yearly period you have paid for, you remove a farm, or a shed stops being billed to you because it is removed, deactivated or taken over by someone else, we refund the part of what you paid that it no longer costs, for the days left in the period. On a company plan, lowering a shed's capacity can also lower the price; when it does, we refund the difference the same way. We work this out automatically and tell your company admins, or a self-managed farm's owner, by email and in the app when the refund is recorded and when it is sent.
  • Duplicate or mistaken payments. If you pay the same invoice twice, pay an invoice that has already been replaced, or are charged in error, we refund the full amount. If you prefer, we can apply it to your subscription instead.

Monthly plans have no part-month refunds: removing a farm or shed shows in your next monthly invoice, which counts only the farms and sheds you have then.

5. Changing plans

When you move to a different plan and it starts straight away, the unused days you have already paid for on your current plan are taken off the price of the new plan. This credit is not paid out as cash.

6. How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the account or card you paid from, within 7–10 working days of our approving them. Your bank may take a few more days to show the money.

7. How to ask for a refund

Write to support@fowltree.com with your company or farm name, the invoice number and the reason. We will confirm whether the payment qualifies and what happens next.

8. Delivery

FowlTree is an online service. Nothing is shipped; your access starts as soon as your payment is confirmed.
